Day 2 at Cardigan

Blue group

September 20th 2021

We got back on the bus for the third time to go back to Cardigan mountain. Today was the big day of the trip. We were climbing all the way to the top of MT Cardigan and MT firescrew if possible. When we got there we got back with our group leaders. We played more group activities then we got our GPS’s again. We started to hike after that, the first thing we did was look at an apple tree. Next we stopped at a hole built by rocks and we sketched it. About 45 minutes later we ate lunch at another river. When we were closer to the top we stopped at an amazing view. At that view we used markers to color leafs and put them in our sketchbook. After we got to the summit of Mt firescrew we realized we couldn't make it to the summit of Mt Cardigan. So we went down to the bottom and in my opinion it was harder to get down than go up. After about 1hour and 30 minutes of going down the mountain we finally made it to the bottom. Then we all waited for the bus and when it got there we all got on it and went back to the school to go home.

Movment

I assigned Day 2 to Movement because I saw a lot of things while hiking up the mountain that moved from other places to the mountain. One thing we looked at was a glacial erratic which moved from somewhere else and went to MT. Firescrew. Another thing we saw that moved was the bus that moved from Hopkinton Middle High School to the AMC lodge.
